1.Ultralight
The density is 0.2~0.4g/cm3, which is about 1/10 of aluminum density, 1/20 of titanium density, 1/30 of steel density, 1/30 of steel density, and 1/3 of wood density.
2.Sound absorption
Aluminum foam can absorb the energy of the sound through the vibration of the pore wall, which is used to muffle the sound. Remove noise.
3.Heat resistance
It has high heat resistance. Generally, the dissolution temperature of aluminum alloy is about 560·700℃. Single foam aluminum will not dissolve even if it is heated to 1400℃, and it will not release harmful gas at high temperature.
4.Electromagnetic wave shielding
Aluminum foam has good shielding of high-frequency electromagnetic waves, which can reduce electromagnetic interference by more than 80%.

Among them, for closed-cell foam aluminum, the main preparation methods are melt foaming and powder metallurgy.
