CaCO3 substrate

Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) is a non-uniaxial crystal with large birefringence, wide spectral range, and it is a diamond shape of crystal. CaCO3 crystal is suitable for visible and near-infrared polarized materials. CaCO3 is a mineral crystal with high birefringence and polarization properties. CaCO3 single crystal is mainly used in the defense industry and high-precision optical instruments, and also has important applications in high-end radio and astrophysics.
